Welcome to the USS Athena!

“You’ll lack neither courage nor sense from this day on.” - Athena (in Homer’s The Odyssey)

In ancient Greek mythology Athena was the Olympian goddess of wisdom and good counsel, war, the defence of towns, heroic endeavour, weaving, pottery and various other crafts.

All of those things are to be expected in the stories we want to tell. (Including even the part about weaving and pottery, if you’re so inclined!)

The USS Athena is a proud member of Taskforce 72 in Obsidian Fleet

CURRENT MISSION: SHAKEDOWN

With the Athena herself in drydock for overhaul, Commander Kane's mentor has dispatched him - along with a trusted group of his senior staff - to the planet of Aquilon, where the Commodore's son has apparently disappeared shortly after graduating Starfleet Academy.

What mysteries await the crew on this strange resort world...?

As we recruit new players and set this ship in motion the command team have been working hard to add new content to the sim for you all to browse and hopefully enjoy!

The ships tour section of our website is now up and running with images and descriptions of parts of our ship where your characters will be spending most of their time.

So why not take a look around? Stop by our fully stocked lounge 'Dionysus Bar' on deck five, get a check up in sickbay or pay a visit to our new look main bridge. We'll be more than happy to see you and answer any questions you have.

ON:

Kane took a final glance over the personnel file as he waited for the door to chime. Decades of experience, Starfleet through-and-through, and undoubtedly talented. He was genuinely excited to meet his new chief engineer. The fact that she'd turned down other assignments for the Athena was no small…

Mission: Shakedown

The small outbuilding structure that Kane had earlier identified as housing the backup security footage as well as several other redundancies stood a few hundred yards from the main building. There was a wide outdoor pool in between, with a small cluster of hotel guests lounging around, but aside from…

Dessame could feel the good Doctor's eyes on her as they approached the beach. There was a small bar, outside nightclub and restaurant on the beach that catered to the clientele there. Maybe they had visited this location for some reason but she was sceptical as a Vulcan on a…

"What am I looking at?" Thy'lissa stared long and hard at the four-or-five screens Brand had activated on the wall opposite. She was used to processing a lot of information, but this was another level. The man beside her smiled politely.

"Long-range telemetry from Starbase 621." He pointed to a…

As the security chief and surgeon sauntered off together, Kane glanced over at Mortigar. It would be a good opportunity for his new science officer to prove his talent, at the very least.

"Well, Lieutenant, we have precious few leads. What would your recommendation be in this situation?"
